Rolling Stone has a brief article on the Disney album, along with the track The Bear Necessities for your listening...uh...pleasure

http://www.rollingstone.com/music/news/song-premiere-brian-wilson-remakes-bare-necessities-from-the-jungle-book-20111013

I'm thinking I will listen once to this album and then put it away until I have grandchildren.

Though I'd love to be wrong about that.

I really like the intro and the outro was reminiscent of Barnyard. The song overall is not bad but not really the best.

Still looking forward to this though...just not as much as SMiLE  LOL

Lots of good stuff on the album -- Colors of the Wind, surprisingly, and Kiss the Girl are standouts.

But it is all Disney songs. Not easy for everyone to take, I'm afraid.

PRO SHOT BEACH BOYS CONCERTS - LIST

To sum it up, they blew it, they blew it consistently, they continue to blow it, it is tragic and this pathological problem caused The Beach Boys' greatest music to be so underrated by the general public.

Not overwhlemed by this. The intro is rather nice, though, and the same goes for BW's singing.

There is a bonus track on the Amazon version. "A Dream is a Wish Your Heart Makes."

Just another way for record companies to get their money. The good thing about the internet is that there are places to acquire mostly anything.

I dig the banjo, and this is from someone that always thought The Jungle Book was pretty lame. I'll pick it up, easy.

Not every song needs to be, or can be, "the best."  It sounds just like a lazy way to describe something you don't like.

Has there ever been another artist in the history of recorded music where the gap between the sublime and the ridiculous is so vast?
