I just got this this morning and it is a wonderful reissue.  One striking feature for me is the album cover.  It looks so much better then the CD version.  I honestly never noticed the (now obvious) giraffe, elephant, and owl-bird thing..  or the smile on the cottage.  The colors are all distinct and everything stands out nice and big.

Is this how the original vinyl artwork looked or is it closer to the two-fer cover?  Because this is the one they should have used.  It's glorious!  It really looks totally new.

The CD cover:

Here's a scan of part of the Simply Vinyl reissue cover I found online:

Either way it's one of the best album covers ever. Possibly the best.

Did it ever occur to you, Cable, how wise and bountiful God was to put breasts on a woman? Just the right number in just the right place. Did you ever notice that, Cable?

Same with me.. I was surprised with all the features on the cover art I missed.. did anyone get Wild Honey, too? The cover of that is also much more appealing than the twofer artwork, for reasons unknown.

I have the simply vinyl Smiley Smile, I really dig it too. One thing that struck me was the difference in color for the vinyl album color, its sort of grayish brown while the cd version is bright green. The vinyl album cover is much more eerie and dark, more in spirit with the album.

I love it. It would have been a great cover for PET SOUNDS.
