within the lifetimes of most of the posters here we will find ourselves in a terrible rut as fans - with the original members having passed on into the beyond and no new releases or shows happening, all we will have is what we have and eventually the discussion will run dry, meaning that people will just wave in and out gathering information to satisfy their interest, perhaps sticking around a while to help inform new fans, but eventually disappearing into a new interest that satisfies life's curious drive for engaging the attention in something.

Yeah, I never understood how people could honestly say that the main reason Dennis was so close with Charles Manson was because Manson gave him access to "his" girls. He's Dennis Wilson, man. He could get hot chicks whenever he wanted. Face it, psychedelic drugs were in the air and Dennis was way over his head in that element. Manson used him like he used others.

It's actually 99% probable that Dennis Wilson & Charles Manson had homosexual sex. Proof: in Paul Watkins' book about his time with Manson he says that within the Family everyone had to get over their insecurities through expressive role play, guys doing things with guys, girls with girls, guys with girls, group orgies sex sessions... until there's no hang ups left and everyone can just be cool. That's what Manson taught them. These girls were sex walking, sex submissives always willing. For Dennis to feel like a fellow male leader with Charlie - this was the real appeal for Dennis. Both as a discipleship with Charlie, his elder and spiritual mentor, and to share the power with him, having the girls adore him similarly to Charlie.

This thread passed beyond "sense of humor" and into "offensive" quite soon after it was created. And, as I'm apparently the only gay member of the board, I will say that I've had to work awfully hard not to be personally offended by some of the "good fun" on display here.
