My experience with JB is it will be in NZ but the question is when?

I preordered on Amazon over a week ago and the charge still hasn't popped up on my credit card yet.

They charge you when it ships.

$262NZ? That is NUTS. I'm gonna stick with amazon.ca and importcds.com I think. Hopefully the 31st release date is going to mean a few copies in actual stores as well, so I can grab the 2-discer while waiting for the box to be delivered.

Hi everybody, I think the cheapest u.k price is at zavvi. There's a £10 off £100 spend discount voucher which brings the price down to £111.56. So a fiver cheaper than amazon...

Add the code 'BIGSPENDER' at checkout to get the discount. (That's if anyone hasn't pre-ordered yet)

Just received an email saying that the final price on my box set ordered from amazon.ca was CA $103.20 which is $20 cheaper than when I ordered! At current exchange with british £ that means it only cost around £65, awesome!

Same think for me!

The box cost me 94 euros (with fast shipping to France), so I love Canada!

That is considerably less then I paid in Holland, namely € 152.99. But I can live with that, it is an exceptional purchase.

Anyone gone through CDWow like me and got their order? Still waiting for the 2CD set due to them waiting for supply of stock. Best price sure and to be honest SS not in the stores here in NZ until the 14th, but not good as the order was put in early Sept. Undecided

Hey My Cousin Brian - was in at Slow Boat Records in Wellington today and picked up the 2-discer. Box set (ordered from importcds) should be here this week!

NZ Herald had a great review but said the 14th. Cool if its early. I have the chance to travel overseas so will make do with the 2CD for now and save some bucks later in the year. What price in Wellington?

CDWow was NZ$22.99 delivered.

Of course you're right. I meant to say: in this particular case I chose to purchase at my regular retailers', we've become very good acquaintances over 30+ years. Moreover, I would spend € 40.00 extra this way on very, very few items on the planet in my lifetime, if at all. So out of a little 'beer money' box, and smeared out over a long time, that 40 Euro cap means zilch.

MCB - $41 at Slow Boat, but it's an independent and may have imported it themselves. Had a good few copies though. Probably $10-15 more than the chains, but at least I got to support one of the last independently-owned music stores. Fantastic range of vinyl too. A long-time favourite for rarities and general browsing if you ever get the chance to check it out.

That wasn't criticism at all!  Shocked I'm too part of that category of people who can at some point go inside an independent music retailer, only to get out of the damn shop 5 hours lated and 200 bucks short  Huh But just once a year   Cheesy

I can see your plight. Yes, it's so tempting every now and then. And then, finally, you're out on the sidewalk again, with The Lurkers, The Shop Assistants, The Bush Tetras, Sham '69, and G.G. Allin under your arm. Heavenly.

checking Ebay, there's a seller that has 4 box sets available for $120 each, plus $4 US shipping:

Kind of sad that this release isn't three weeks old, and this seller (apparently an independent record seller) is so convinced he'll never sell these profitably that he says he's selling them for a loss.

I don't doubt that he is losing money at this price, but I wonder if he's being a bit hasty.  This is a special release, and I'd be willing to bet that at some point in the near future, he may regret treating it as a "fire" (gratuitous Smile reference) sale item after only 18 days.  It wouldn't surprise if the box goes out of print relatively quickly (perhaps to be replaced with a CD-only box without such elaborate packaging).
