I first heard it when i was fifteen, and as I get older I get sad listening to it as I progress through the years chirrupped by the BV's...

All roads lead to Kokomo. Exhaustive research in time travel has conclusively proven that there is no alternate universe WITHOUT Kokomo. It would've happened regardless.
What is this "life" thing you speak of ?

A few years ago I thought that "I Just Wasn't Made for These Times" described perfectly how I felt, but later I realized I probably had got a bit overemphasized image of myself. Right now I'm thinking "Vega-Tables". I seem to eat the wrapper every time.

Also "A Day in the Life of a Tree" and "Breakaway" quite fit.

I feel exactly the same way, it's depressing to listen to it and realize that I'm getting to a point where my age is fading out on the track as opposed to remaining safely within the verses.  Funny how a simple song can make you feel different things at different ages.

Ah, but that's what makes the lines "Won't last forever / it's kinda sad" so devastatingly good.

"I'm Bugged at My Ol' Man

It really captures that angst that we all feel in our teenage years.

Different things at different times. Side 2 of Today and Pet Sounds I think everyone can relate to at one time or another. Personally Break Away/Celebrate The News is a record that reflects a lot about me.

Right now, unfortunately, for me the song is "I Need a Mess of Help to Stand Alone".  Been a rough year.

For me it's "I Just Wasn't Made For These Times", or at least it did, since things have improved significantly for me since first hearing it. Almost every line resonates with me. For the longest time I didn't feel like I belonged anywhere. I've always been fairly intelligent. However I felt like I was rarely making any progress in my life; like I wasn't going anywhere; sort of a perpetual stagnation. I felt like nothing good in my life lasted; like something would always bring me down. At times I feel like a walking anachronism. I feel cheated out of so many experiences simply because I was born in 1992; like I literally wasn't made for these times. I'm a person with a lot of ideas; things I want to do, things I want to be. In the end most of them ultimately never come to fruition, and usually I don't feel like I have much support. It took me a long time to find the people I knew I could depend on; who wouldn't cop out.

Luckily most of that's behind me now. Thank f*ck I'm out of high school (this is why I've never liked "Be True To Your School").

I was born in 1991. If it wasn't for that, I'd feel like I wrote the above!

H.E.L.P is on the way, Male Ego, Lines, Ding Dang, She's Got Rhythm, Heads You Win, Tails I Lose and Let Us Go On This Way. I could probably name a lot more.

Wishfully: Breakaway
Most often: IJWMFTT
Realistically: Heroes and Villains - especially since I'm on the verge of moving back home after 24 years in the Spanish and Indian home of the heroes and villains...had enough of the villains, thanks...

But also, very late on a Friday night: Rollin' Up to Heaven
