Hi everyone. Long time reader, but I am a new member, and this is my first post.

I have been in contact with Stephen McParland, author of "The Wilson Project." The Tape 1-10 updated version of the book is now out of print, but he says he can sell me a copy of the original 1991 version. He said the original is missing only the contents of Tape 10. Should I buy it? What would I be missing? I've been wanting to read this for a long time, but I just haven't been able to pull the trigger on the hefty expense of the book.

I'd say it depends on how much he's asking, and how badly you want to read it

To be honest, the meat of the whole thing is in the original book - Tape 10 is more of an addendum than a sequel.

Well, I bid on a copy on ebay and lost at the last minute. But, I did manage to secure Mr. McParland's last copy of the Tapes 1-9 version. So, it's on its way. Going by AGD's list of essential BB reads, I look forward to reading this.

It's basically a scrapbook consisting of info from a 10th Usher tape (dating August-December 1987), an unpublished Usher interview from late 1986/early 1987 and a whole mess of lawyers letters, lyrics, post-it notes, studio cost sheets, studio track logs, some nice 1986 photos and some court documents. To someone like me, manna: to the less committed, ephemera.
