I use Firefox for my internet browsing and what-not. Today when I got home and tried to start Firefox a message popped up saying something like, "Cannot log onto default user because someone else is logged on". Those are not the exact words but that summarizes the message. Another thing when I came on there was a thing referring to my IP address. Currently i'm logged on as a new user for firefox but i'm very concerned as to what is happening with the other.

Anyone any clue as to what happened?

I didn't realized you could "log on" as a Firefox user.  What is your "home page" when you launch Firefox?

all you have to if that happens is bring up Task Manager and then Processes and kill "firefox.exe." It's like some "rogue process"-- nothing to worry about--- a suddenly articulate Foda.

Awesome thanks, worked well. Sort of had me a bit freaked.

You can create several Firefox accounts, and when you start up it should usually ask which you want to use, (unless you click the box which prevents it from showing).

Okay, now I know what you mean.  My wife and I each had separate accounts on Netscape and it only caused havoc and confusion, so at some point I started using Firefox and Thunderbird instead.
