My Danish is a bit rusty, but it goes something like:

"Dear friends,
Unfortunately it seems that we have to postpone the Scandinavian dates on our September tour. I have an unavoidable situation in the studio in Los Angeles, and we must therefore return home after Brussels.

I promise to get back as soon as possible so I can play Copenhagen, Stockholm and Oslo. I love that part of the world and the wonderful people who come to our shows. We keep you informed of new dates.

Meanwhile, back to my first love - STUDIO"

Roughly.

The timing's a bit... coincidental...

Isn't it more a matter of poor ticket sales?

Just askin'.

Doubt it has something to do with sales unless only 5 tickets were sold which is unlikely..

Brian has gone ahead with shows that were only 25% out or so I've read in one or two reviews..

Must be to do with smile.

Unavoidable Situation In The Studio

Hmmm.....

My prediction:
TSS released Sept. 27
BBs appear publicly in L.A. for release party
While in L.A. do some recording together.

Hmmm.....

Yup, Mark & Alan presented Capitol with the Smile Sessions material and some sharp-eyed exec noticed that the album wasn't actually finished.

Brian's been recalled to pick up where he left off.

… but I like Les's prediction better!   Grin

(only make it Sept 28 -  release date for BWPS 2004, and therefore harmonious!  :D

RyanAir tend s to treat its passengers like cattle - crams them in with little legroom, no refunds for cocked-up flights… they lost my luggage on a short hop to Germany from London a few years back. They charge for all inflight drinks & snacks and were even threatening to charge for use of the toilets recently. In fact they came up with a proposal for having passengers stand…   go figure!

So this is probably about studio time being reserved for a "reunion" Beach Boys recording in L.A. or...........

From a recent interview:

Q: After this tour, what’s next?

BW: It looks like we might be doing a rock ’n’ roll album. We’re going to do songs inspired by Phil Spector and Chuck Berry. You know how Chuck Berry goes: (starts singing) ‘Hey baby, baby, baby, rock ’n’ roll music.’ And Phil Spector has the drumbeat and the good piano and guitar sound. So it’s going to be that. Half will be original and half will be covers. How’s that sound?

Q: Pretty cool. Where did that idea come from?

BW: From me.

Q: Right. But where did you get the idea from?

BW: From me.

Q: I know it was your idea. But were you reading about one of them, or listening to their music, or ... ?

BW: No, I just thought, ‘I want to do an album like Phil Spector and Chuck Berry.’ And I’ll be damned if we’re not going to do it!

I, I love the colorful clothes she wears, and she's already working on my brain. I only looked in her eyes, but I picked up something I just can't explain. I, I bet I know what she’s like, and I can feel how right she’d be for me. It’s weird how she comes in so strong, and I wonder what she’s picking up from me. I hope it’s good, good, good, good vibrations, yeah!!
