Murry Wilson hired Jim Garrison to start a conspiracy theory with Ferrie, Shaw, Banister, and Oswald as conspirators. Murry used Sea Of Tunes Publishing as a front for the Fair Play For Cuba Committee, and had Oswald distribute leaflets in New Orleans.

Murry hired Oswald’s rock band in 1963 as a warm-up act for The Beach Boys. Jack Ruby played lead guitar – Dallas police detective James Leavelle played keyboards:

I dunno about "The Perfect Patsy" though. I think he watched that Oliver Stone movie too much.....

I, I love the colorful clothes she wears, and she's already working on my brain. I only looked in her eyes, but I picked up something I just can't explain. I, I bet I know what she’s like, and I can feel how right she’d be for me. It’s weird how she comes in so strong, and I wonder what she’s picking up from me. I hope it’s good, good, good, good vibrations, yeah!!

We don't know, Don. But it's a pleasure to have you back, anyways!  Grin

Thank you Sir! I heard today that 7 August might be an option... so we'll have to not cross streets, not fly, and stay indoors in our beds, tucked up for a bit longer...

Does anyone know when we can expect to get a firm release date for this bloody thing? It's gonna be September/October at the earliest isn't it?

I think your guess is OK. They surely won't tell us two weeks beforehand, or even 6 weeks or so. My record retailer has a pretty reliable website with announcements, and it's not even in the section named 'in the long run'.

I think AGD is right. Sept/Oct, IIRC, is what he predicted, contrary to what the naive spring chickens here were estimating/hoping/whatever.

...and that Al Sardine has something to answer for... pah, giving it all away offhandedly in some unimportant interview.

I believe AGD is predicting late September at the LATEST, linking it with the deadline for Grammy-eligible releases (the box is a cinch to win "Best Historical Album").

Pink Floyd's "Dark Side of the Moon" box set and the Discovery box set of all their albums are both scheduled for release on Sept. 27.   Maybe Capitol is going to throw TSS in there too, putting them all in contention for "Best Historical Album," and have a big promotion based on "Psychedelic Classics" or "Legendary Albums" or some such...

For what it's worth (admittedly, not much), several European sites are now listing a release date of August 22...

I wish artists stopped giving a merda about the grammy's. They are about as relevant to good music as this post is to the production of Mike Love's upcoming new line of turban's.

Let's hope for an official release date soon!

When it comes to SMiLE it's just good sense to always err on the side of caution and "predict" that there will be movement on the project later rather than sooner.

Right on. FYI, I did like your little theorising in that other thread you made the other day. Just sayin'  Grin
