McCartney's bride to be and the mafia

I am stunned! I just finished an article online from a British paper. McCartney's bride to be
Nancy Shevell, comes from a family heavily involved with the most notorious gangsters
in mafia history. The list includes The suspects in the Hoffa disappearance/murder and
Vincent "The Chin" Gigante, the former head of the Genovese family. He was the one
who went around in a bathrobe pretending to be crazy while he was under investigation.
Mr Shevell was (Nancy's father) was not just fleetingly involved, he was under heavy investigation
by the FBI and only stayed out of trouble by agreeing to a plea that kept him out of unions for
a mandatory five year span. Supposedly he paid of Chin Gigante and the Genovese's for at least 11
years in return for a sweetheart deal that allowed him to ignore all union rules for his trucking employees.
These are also the same mobsters who are believed to have created the secret Nixon slush fund to hush
up the watergate burglars in the 70's.
Nancy Shevell has spent her entire professional life working for this company, (the family business) and apparently
spent her childhood at her fathers feet in the trucking office. The Shevell's now own six trucking companies
that bring in a 400 million dollar annual gross, and authorities have long voiced suspicions that the company is/was
a front for the mob. Some of the Genovese mobsters are on tape referring to the Shevell's trucking company as
"their" trucking company.
I will say this, Nancy Shevell is about the best looking 51 year old woman I have ever seen in a photograph. She is wealthy
well educated, sophisticated, abd she has run a charity endowment for drug addicts since her brother overdosed a few years
ago.
IN a way I don't care at all, not my business, and just because her family has been heavily involved with some of the most
notorious gangsters in history for fifty years and she has spent her whole life working there, doesn't make her evil does it?
I just find this whole story so weird. I don't get into Yoko bashing or getting into the personal lives of Beatles or Beach boys
I Just find this whole thing so disturbing and weird. About the only other thing that creeped me out like this was Dennis Wilsons
friendship with Charlie Manson, (what was that about?)
So what do you think is that weird or what? Remember John Lennon was involved with Morris Levy a notorious music publisher involved
with the mob. but that wasn't voluntary.

Organized crime funds a lot of entities - small businesses, the music industry, Hollywood, the government...

Well McCartney has a billion pound fortune to protect and administer, more important
he has to vote on the Beatles recorded legacy at board meetings.
If Nancy Shevell never said hey dad, I don't want to be in the family business
I appreciate you had to do business with the mob to feed us, but I would rather
live my life free of the mob and become something else.
If she never did that, basically it's ok with her that all the money she lives on
and her family, came from illicit deals with notorious mafioso. Not somebody
I would want to know thats for sure. Talk about being married to the mob!
She is involved with the lowest type of immoral people that shame America
and apparently has no remorse about it.. Even as an old geezer McCartney
could get a cool woman interested in him anytime he wanted, why choose a
Mafia Princess?
The Shevell family does business with murderers and the lowest of the low and
profit from it, including apparently the daughter, ALL YOU NEED IS LOVE indeed
As someone commented, the whole thing does look a lot like American Government!
Now how about the randy French guy in charge of the world bank? He needs a fixer
like the Shevell family!

True criminals never receive their just dues if the government protects them. Hence why innocent people go to prison all the time.

LOL!
II can't think of any offhand, but you know the doddering
old dude with the hot younger chick who fleeces' him for all
he has and disgraces the entire family, and taints the historic
iimage of the beatles and all that.
I guess really I don't see the "All You need is love" vibe in
the mafia, and by getting involved through marriage with those
kind of people, it's kind of hypocritical to the Beatles message
of peace and love. But I guess being an aristocratic billionaire is
rather contrary to those ideals also.
Don Paulie, the sixth family !

I bet it's frustrating trying to find another Linda...it's kinda sad the way that ended...I honestly think they'd still be together had she not pass away...maybe not be a backup singer for touring, but still together.
