I know that Adult Child and New Album may have been released at this time, but if there had been a good follow up to Love You what do you think should have been on it, this is using anything from the Adult Child/Cal feelin/MIU period, Im sure a solid album can be made. Any suggestions please...

I'd suggest taking Adult/ Child, subtracting the two Sunflower rejects, and adding "Marilyn Rovell" and "My Diane" in their place.  Works for me!

Maybe add "You've Lost That Lovin' Feeling" too.  Great Spector cover that.

Adult/Child and Love You are two so very different albums. I remember first hearing Adult/Child, knowing that it was recorded around the same time as Love You, yet it felt like a whole different world. It's brother is this wild frenzy of an odd album with bright instrumentation, while this one seemed like one big depressed look at theirselves. (It's Over Now, the song about getting pudgy, Still I Dream Of It, etc)

Did it ever occur to you, Cable, how wise and bountiful God was to put breasts on a woman? Just the right number in just the right place. Did you ever notice that, Cable?

Indeed. IMHO, one of the great lost outtakes.

Is it as good as/better than Just Once In My Life? I love those two songs...

I personally think it's better. One of Brian's best "mid-period" vocals.

Was Adult Child finished? I was always under the impression that Brian intended to do the album, had recorded a few songs for it, had some other stuff lying around, but that it never got past like 50% or so.  Everyone always mentions the album, but are we sure the songs on the boots of that album are actually what was intended for it?

I thought AC was rejected by Warners.
