Good Vibrations California Girls They Can't Take That Away From Me
so I hear from a friend who stood several feet from BW as it happened
who adds
"life-affirmingly, unbelievably brilliant - still hyperventilating"
and, I should add, he's not a huge BB fan, so this ain't no hyperbole
Well, I wasn't far off on my original guess work! on page 1!

GOK - the most fragile version I've heard. Beautiful.

Brett Simons was 'new' in early 2008, when he replaced Bob Lizik. He's played on all tours for some three years and on the Gershwin album (which I'm guessing you don't have).

Oh okay, if it's Brett Simons.. I wasn't able to watch the GOK performance yet, and just read that Brian's got a new bass player and thought: "What? Again?".

I missed the percussion, but it's a lovely arrangement. Do you think Brian was channelling Carl?
There's a voice in there that sounds a lot like Al, and i think it's Probyn. Anyone else? Does Probyn take Al's parts?

Yeah not bad at all - I'd love to see "God Only Knows," he's sung that really sweetly the last few years.

He unsurprisingly seemed at least a little more enthusiastic about singing the Gershwin song compared to the other two. Hypehat's on point though!
