I'm less familiar with his altruistic side. Are there well known examples?
He's a supporter of his daughters school, and whenever his daughter Melinda took part in the Carl Wilson Foundation walks, he matched the money she raised dollar for dollar (which gave provoked one of the best ever posts on Ego, "let's all sponsor her for a a million bucks and bankrupt the SOB !"
- which somewhat missed the point, of course). Mike does a lot of things under the radar.
