I assume you are reffering to the deal on the tower? Unless I am forgetting something. But on the video, you can hear Al ask Dave why he isn't in the picture. Dave said he was asked not to participate. I am not sure who asked him not to. That is if I heard it correctly. You can't always see their faces when they are speaking.

Some Capitol stooge told Dave to get out of the photo, although I'm not sure whether he was being malicious or just didn't recognise him. This was met by general consternation from the rest of the group, and Dave got back in the shots.

Here it is. At 4 min. Bruce is pointing, and you hear a voice "I was asked not to participate". Sounds like Dave to me.

Is Al's two cents not worth the same amount as Brian and Mike's? It seems like an odd remark to make considering he is a voting member.

Al is up for a reunion, everyone knows that...he voted yes about two years ago. It all comes down to whether Mike's folks and Brian's folks can agree on something. That's all.

Not so - David was (initially) prevented from lining up with the others by some faceless suit who didn't know who he was. David, being David, didn't press the point.

Other Anonymous...you're remembering correctly. This happened well into the ceremony - after all 5 of them were escorted from a conference room to the rooftop together, lined up, announced, several suits talked, each of the guys, including David, gave a short speech. Then, in the middle of the photo opp, he was asked to step aside so they could get a shot "with the original band" for Pet Sounds promotion....that's when the guys called David back up (see video)

Bottom line: someone clearly didn't brush up on BB history 101 (or check the guest list) before the big day and had no idea who David was and it caused a little awkwardness in what was an otherwise great day. Unfortunately, a few seconds of out of context footage makes it look a lot worse than it was.

Carries post from July 06 on the event...The other thing I should probably comment on was what was portrayed in some of the video footage (and from Bruce’s post on BBB) about David being excluded from the photos.  What happened was: towards the end of the photo shoot, the executive asked David to step out so they could have one with the 4 guys on Pet Sounds to promote separately.  That’s when the rest of the guys insisted he was one of them and should not be single out and excluded.  It was very cool to witness such an outward and public display of support…it may not always appear that way on the surface, but there is a lot of love there.
