PRO SHOT BEACH BOYS CONCERTS - LIST

To sum it up, they blew it, they blew it consistently, they continue to blow it, it is tragic and this pathological problem caused The Beach Boys' greatest music to be so underrated by the general public.

some guy asked when Smile was coming out on CD. LOL

Meet Me In My Dreams Tonight should have been the single from the album.  I didn't realize that it was mostly a Paley song.

Some of the calls are definitely by some of Landy's goons...

I love the guy that presents "Keeping the Summer Alive" as proof that the Beach Boys were still making great music in the latter stages of their recording career.  Too funny!

Not to mention this was the same guy who singled out 'Til I Die as his favorite song (iirc), which is an odd combination. That said, the M.I.U. Album features some of my own favorite late-70s songs so I should probably better keep my mouth shut.  Cheesy

I think it's interesting overall to hear the opinions/comments of fans (as I'm sure the people calling in would have been serious fans) from an era in which Brian had just emerged as a solo artist and there was still that one foot in the door with the Beach Boys (who were still a serious and successful unit). They could never have imagined that in twenty some years Brian would get married, tour extensivly, finish Smile, and have a steady stream of studio output as a solo artist.

"His (VDP's) lyrics are intangible to me. He's an intangible guy". Priceless, love the clarity and confident state of mind. Sad to hear the slurring though, newly acquired, a result of Landy's controlling over-medication (with at least some of the wrong drugs).
