It's not yet on German amazon........ is it just on US amazon at this point? Must... order...

That track list is pretty cool. But I won't believe all this before I open the amazon package. And then it's probably going to be something else I ordered.

Oh by the way: if I order the box set - will I miss anything that is exclusively on the vinyl set or the CDs?

Mono/stereo:

CD1 of both box & 2CD set up to GV, first three side of vinyl LP - mono mix

45s - no idea

everything else - stereo wherever possible.

I have spoken.  Old Man

The word 'psychedelic' has been miss-spelt throughout. Proofreaders please...!

They've used the "Psycodelic" spelling that is the same as the bootleg that is available.  I'm listening to it now as I type.  Some interesting stuff...

Just saw the tracklist, and not sure if this was answered already but:

What is the difference between Disc 1 and Discs 5/6? I see that 5/6 is labeled as "Vinyl LP" but its the same tracklisting...?

Also, did they really dedicate a whole disc to Good Vibrations? :/ Oh well...

I think it's just the first disc on two slabs of vinyl, with different bonus tracks.

I think disc 5 is a cd, but not disc 6, which is vinyl no. 1.

I ordered myself the 2CD set and begged my mother for the box set for Christmas, so we'll see if that happens. Believe me, I would purchase it now without a second thought, but I need to pay for school. But in order to tide me over until November 1st I also bought The Pet Sounds Sessions for a reasonable price and it should arrive in a few days. I've only ever heard the mono and stereo version of the normal album before.

So if you buy the box set, you would have everything that is included on the other instances of the release, correct?

It would appear that way, at least from a musical standpoint.

The 2-CD set includes the SMiLE button, which does not seem to appear in the box.
The 2-LP set features a different insert (which probably contains at least some of the same info as the CD book in the box, hence why it is not duplicated)

That's my understanding anyway.

And who knows what they have up their sleeves in terms of the digital download...

I'm not so sure -- I went through the box's track list (a couple of pages back) to highlight which tracks were going to be on disc two of the 2-CD set, and there were a few tracks that I couldn't find exact equivalents for on the box:

2. Heroes and Villains (Part 1) 3:08
7. Cabin Essence (10/3/66) 5:19
13. Good Vibrations Session Highlights 8:20

"Cabin Esseence" for example, has three tracks dedicated to it on the box, divided into "Verse," "Chorus" and "Tag" sections. The single "Cabin Essence" track on disc two of the 2-CD set COULD be just a combination of these tracks, or could be something else. Same situation with "Good Vibes." "Heroes And Villains (Part 1)" COULD be the cantina version we've had for years, but I'm not sure, and there's no "master take" of "Part 1" listed in the box's disc two.

We'll be able to guess better when we have track lengths for the box tracks.

H&V pt1 may not be represented on the CDs, but we'll at least get it on the single if anything

The only thing I am worried about with this set is that we are going to have a ton of tracks with a very short time stamp.

Per the box set,: each release has tracks unique to each release.  At least that was my understanding.
