I think if Carl came back as a cat, it would be the type the Kinks sang about on Village Green Preservation Society - "he just lived to eat, cause it kept him fat, and that's how he wanted to stay" - a truly Phenominal Cat. "Once when he was thin, he had flown to old Hong Kong; and had learned the secret of life, and the sky and the sea beyond...so he gave up his diet, and sat in his tree, ate himself to eternity..." I love cats, so I can't picture Dennis being with whiskers etc. But if you insist, I think he might be like Riff-Raff from the "Heathcliff" cartoon series. He's also not tall & got sly eyes.
