One thing I can tell you is you got to be free
Come together right now over me

He got Ono sideboard he one spinal cracker
He got feet down below his knee
Hold you in his armchair you can feel his disease
Come together right now over me

He say "One and one and one is three"
Got to be good-looking 'cause he's so hard to see
Come together right now over me

Ehm, P.J.
No doubt that your offer will be appreciated, but you know the rules here regarding offering boots and all?

http://smileysmile.net/board/index.php/topic,122.msg2.html#msg2  (rule #3)

I'd advise you to edit your post a bit. (and otherwise I will)

(Yes I know - I've seen many creative ways of communicating on this board when it comes to boot-requests, but this one's too obvious IMO)

Listening to you I get the music; Gazing at you I get the heat; Following you I climb the mountain; I get excitement at your feet
Right behind you I see the millions; On you I see the glory; From you I get opinions; From you I get the story

I, for one, am also glad that I had time to read the original message.  Grin

Can I say that?

What was the secret message then? A request for a 'butcher cover' SMiLE 1967?

No, a request for "PM Song" (vocals only).

That's the most imaginative and discreet thing I could think of right now. Should perhaps get something to eat.

It's about 3 CDs worth of class A+ stuff. Announced 1997. But it did not materialize.

let me give you a few hints ...

Thanks for visiting the Smiley Smile message board. Here are a few guidelines to help everything run smoothly:
...
3) Talking about bootlegs is fine. Posting messages asking for bootlegs or offering bootlegs is not fine. That's what private messages and emails are for.
...

- The first post in this topic was a bit to straightforward on offering and requesting unofficially released recordings.
- With abovementioned rule in mind I asked the member who wrote it to edit his message (which he did).
- PM = personal/private message

Does this help?

OOo-aaah -  I got that bit. Just couldn't work out what was being offered/requested!  It's just that I might have been able to provide mutual opportunities for enhancement of personal music collections.

The lyrics to Come Together had me completely flummoxed!

Suspect I know what the Don's alluding to -  didn't he voice questions about the same thing recently?

Thing is, all this stuff don't exist, and even if it did we wouldn't approach it cos of that old matter-antimatter collison risk/end-of-the-universe thing.

Thanks for the clarifications thus far folks!

Do you know the Many Worlds Interpretation of Quantum Physics? Basically it says that everything that is possible is happening simultaneously. A chance disintegration of a particle does, and does not happen at the same time. Therefore, all possible worlds are fully developing and realized. There is a world where SMiLE was finished in 1967. A world where the love of your life did not leave you. And did leave you. And so on.

So: in a world closely resembling ours, there is an authentic SMiLE. Unfortunately, we'll never be able to take a peep into that world.

That explains why there are 20 billion plasterers at work on our living room walls. We booked one a year ago and he hasn't shown up yet, but he has and will and did somewhere soon ago before. He had SMiLE playing/plays/played on his WalkPod.

You got it! Life's not fair... but there you go. For your plasterer SMiLE's just another album, like something by Kenny G. or the Dave Matthews Band...

And in that world Mr. Spock has a beard...but Mike Love never did.

Haha, yes... but unfortunately, there's also a world where Summer In Paradise went triple platinum and kept the #1 spot for two years.

This is the same world where Mike decided to take control of the group, and in late '66/early '67 worked on a masterpiece called 'LOvE'. It was an album dedicated to the greatness of California and Woman; of money and divorce lawyers; a 'Teenage Symphony to Maharishi' he called it. Mike was on a roll of creativity; however, the others were being driven crazy by his perfectionism and his acid-tinged lyrics. At one particular session, Brian-already upset that Mike, in the span of a few months, had written better music than he (Brian) ever had- confronted Mike in a now-legendary exchange. The problem was a particular set of lyrics in the song 'Male Pattern Baldness', which was a song about a cowboy in the Old West who laments the loss of his hair. The lyrics 'Over and over/I do this thing with my hair/called a comb-over', were too far-out for the rest of the group. These sorts of arguments led Mike to shelve the entire project, and for years he refused to talk about it. Thankfully, he released 'Mike Love Presents LOvE' in 2005 and went on a sold-out world tour in support of it.

So.  A world where Brian never lost his touch, Dennis and Carl are alive, Mike and Al are loyal friends and play together each night.
