Yep , saw an interesting curio xmas CD has just been released in the States (suprised it hasn't been mentioned already)
Its Called JDRF's 'Help For The Holidays' and its a charity disc in respect of Juvenile Diabetes and includes 'Santas Goin' To Kokomo' by The Beach Boys (What Huh I thought it was a solo Mike Track) and also a track called 'Peace and Love' by Lawrence Davis Featuring Mike and Christian Love.
Also a track each by Randell Kirsch and also The Cowsills (Featuring John)
Also includes tracks by Weezer and David Coverdale...
Another addition to the collection i guess

Slight correction, Rob - it's actually called JDRF's Hope For The Holidays.  They have a myspace page, where you can hear "Closing Of The Year", with a cameo from Mike.

As for The Beach Boys credit, possibly, as it's a charity thing, BRI waived the existing stipulation.

Full track listing:

1. Closing of the Year - V/A including Mike and Christian Love, Fabrice Morvan and the Type 1 Children's Choir
2. JDRF.org - Bryan Singer, David Coverdale, Stu Cook, Fabrice Morvan and Mike Love

3. O Come All Ye Faithful - Weezer
4. Blue Christmas - Collective Soul
5. Run Rudolph Run - Creedence Clearwater Revisited
6. Santa's Goin' To Kokomo - The Beach Boys
7. O Holy Night - Jon Anderson
8. 'Twas The Night Before Christmas - David Coverdale
9. First Noel - Eric Andersen and Kostia Efimov
10. Joy To The World - Axton
11. Wishing You A Very Merry Christmas - Joey Curatolo of Rain
12. Mele Kalikimaka - Egress
13. Mr. Grinch - Haggis Rising featuring Bryan Singer
14. Let It Snow - Smooth Choppy
15. Silent Night - Kate Cotter and Grace Hutchison
16. Wassailing Rose - Shanti Shanti
17. Peace and Love - Lawrence Davis featuring Mike and Christian Love
18. All That Christmas Means - David Newman
19. PSA - Bryan Singer
20. PSA - Mike Love
21. PSA - Fabrice Morvan
22. PSA - Stu Cook
23. Christmas Love - Randell Kirsch of The Beach Boys
24. Santa Don't Come - Erika Paul Carlson
25. Christmastime - The Cowsills featuring John Cowsill of The Beach Boys
26. Mary Did You Know? - Gena Ruschmeyer
27. Carol of the Bells - Kostia Efimov

These days I'm in the camp that doesn't mind Mike and Bruce going out as the Beach Boys. I also stand behind Al's and Dave's right to call themselves Beach Boys professionally.

But I can't say I see much validity in Randall Kirsch or John Cowsill being described as "of the Beach Boys".

They're part of a great stag act, but they ain't Beach Boys.

I've never seen Eddie Carter billed as "of the Beach Boys", or Jeff Foskett come to that... where will it end?

I don't like being a grump but this is plain wrong.

Track 17  –  Peace and Love by Lawrence Davis featuring Mike and Christian Love – could, by this accounting, be billed as:

17. Peace and Love - Lawrence Davis featuring the Beach Boys

As for Santa Goes To Kokomo being a Beach Boiys track, well, call me Scrooge, but BRI's wrong to relax there.

How long before we start refering to Kokomo as KOKoMO?

Forget David Coverdale, also appearing on this track is Fabrice Morvan.  For any of you that might not be familiar with that name, let me refresh you.

He is the guy on the right hand side.  Yup, Mike is on a track with the one living member of Milli friggin Vanilli!!  Weird!

What I find most surprising is that Mike Love isn't listed as singing on 'Christmas Love'. C'mon, that's a cheesey album title right there!  Grin
