20. BEING INFLUENCED BY PET SOUNDS
Pet Sounds? Great record. One of the best records you’ll hear all day, if you happen to put it on today. Killer. So. Your album that’s kinda influenced by Pet Sounds, because it’s drifty and slow and there’s fancy chords and some lush keyboards and vibes and maybe an overdubbed glee club? Plus squeaky vocals and introspective poetry about how you’re so sad and lonesome and nobody understands you? Ssssuck!
Underrated alternative: Being influenced by Wild Honey, the Beach Boys’ soul album.
