Then there's "Grace of my Heart" loosely based on the life of Carole King,
with added embellishments like an affair with the Brian character (Matt Dillon).

Burt Bacharach and Elvis Costello collaborated by telephone to write a song that the
Brian character "composes", a plausible evocation of his Pet Sounds/Smile era music,
called "God Give Me Strength". Decent film. 3D

Another substitute bio-film for Brian is "Shine" (1996).

SHINE is based on the true story of Australian pianist David Helfgott.

Hey, maybe they could cast Jim Carey as Brian.

I can see that working out pretty well, actually...

I know.  But to me it'd be hard to make a film about Brian Wilson's life without essentially making the same film.

Crispin Glover could probably play a decent Brian, circa 1988.

I think Crispon Glover would make an excellent Brian Wilson!

the guy on "Song of the Whale" played a very convincing mock-Brian Wilson. That actor passed away recently, I think.

LOL  (Sadly, although it's funny, it's also accurate. Poor Brian's been through SO much. So
has Glover, actually). Cry
