It seems there have always been some people around who don't like them.
In particular, I'm thinking of particular types of funda"mentalist" Christians.
Does anyone know why this is? Was it really the goats on the sleeve of Pet Sounds?
Why the Beach Boys, and not... the Mamas and Papas, or Mungo Jerry?
Its a bit of a mystery to me! Any ideas ? Does being on GW Bush's iPod qualify for satanic connections ?

To widen it a bit...
other people I know complain about the harmonies and falsettos - somebody I know said it sounds as if something is being squeezed.
I'm interested in what people who don't like the BB say about why not.
I have a feeling that they don't like 'em 'cos they don't know 'em, but...

The biggest enemies of the Beach Boys, and no one can dispute this, were Brian, Dennis, Carl, Mike, Al, David, and Bruce.

Perhaps he means that ridiculous thing that's on youtube about them being satanists because Brian has admitted to hearing voices, etc. The link is in the BB Media section of this site.

I'm a fundamentalist Christian.  i love the Beach Boys.  Have for 45 years. So there. Anyone who doesn't is obviously under the influence of The Evil One  Evil(and I don't mean Landy).  That last part is a joke.

Most fundamentalist Christians I know view that BBs as an inocent band that sings about surfing cars and having fun. Most actually say the Beatles are the bad boys. I would say in reality it is more the opposite. I'm a Christian, and disagree with a lot of things that they do, but that doesn't change the fact that there music is great.

The funny thing is, that even though they have this image, the Doors, Ramones, Smashing Pumpkins, Weezer, REM and Sonic Youth are all big BBs fans!
