OK, that means nothing to most of you. But maybe you've heard of the FANTASTIC (alas, dearly departed) '90s-'02 power pop band Cotton Mather (Austin, TX). Their 1996 album Kontiki is among my 10 favorite albums of all time--really, they were that good, with clever lyrics, great melodies and hooks...top notch.

Anyway, I just learned today that Robert Harrison, their primary songwriter and singer, has a new band called Future Clouds and Radar. I have only just heard of them and checked their website and myspace, but I'm excited.

This album (a double-album) came out on Tuesday.

I really recommend it.
