 Cool Guy  I put together the a cappella ending to "Don't go near the water" w/"Little Pad" (w/a few minor changes) - and they almost match! Any relation?

The fact that they were written by different people doesn't really mean there's no relation. The second composer could always write something inspired by the first composer (say, an homage), or copy the first, or outright steal from the first. Or even unintentionally following a similar progression, is in itself a relationship.

That said...I have never heard anything to suggest the latter was intended to be anything like the former. I'm just having fun with the subject.
