#6 is totally made up. But it's the book author's fault. The point is logically and factually false. You Still Believe In Me had another lyric when the backing track was recorded.
Care to share your source for that ? The "YSBIM" track was originally recorded as "In My Childhood" (allegedly - no-one's ever found an AFM sheet). but as far as anyone knows* no lyrics were ever written.

You Still Believe In Me was the first thing I wrote. Brian ALREADY HAD A TRACK FOR THAT. He didn't ever played me the original lyric. That was recorded, I guess, with that lyric... In My Childhood. (He) just picked out the melody on the piano, which was then recorded over THAT TRACK, and I went home and wrote the lyric to that melody.
Well, probably the vocals were never recorded, or Brian wouldn't have to record a piano guide. And maybe all Brian did to that lyric was the title, I don't know. My main point was another, and I'm sorry for the uncertain assumption
