I realize some may have already seen/heard this, but this was really cool to find. If you play guitar or if you're into the Beatles' music in general, and have tried to figure this out, this video will put a big smile on your face. Be patient with the commentary and wait until 1:24 into the clip for the big payoff. I'd say with confidence "Case closed!"

I saw an interview with George Martin filmed not that long ago, and he said, to this day, he still didn't know what chord that was.

Thanks to Randy Bachman and George's son Giles, we know what the chord is! Honestly, I've heard a lot of attempts, I've tried and played covers of that song for years on 12 and 6 string guitars, I've found my own compromise to get close to the chord on one guitar...

...but I have *never* heard it as close to exact as it sounds on that audio recording. Bachman and those musicians just nail it, and it's no wonder since he had access to the tapes via Giles Martin and could isolate the three Beatles' parts enough to figure out the recipe.

For many years, I honestly had no idea it was three of them playing different chords and roots.

You learn something new every day.

Yup same here.  Unbelievable.

I can't believe I've never seen or heard that the mystery had been solved.  Thanks for posting!
