My uncle managed to snag me one of these for Christmas, and, after not finding it anywhere online, a gave it a quick rip to the computer and thought I'd upload it for all to hear.
'
THE BEACH BOYS INTERVIEWS
Roger Scott talks to Brian Wilson, Mike Love and Bruce Johnston
featuring the album KEEPIN' THE SUMMER ALIVE
'
for promotion only
XPR 1204
Track 1 - Endless Harmony/Goin' On/School Days (Ring Ring Goes The Bell):
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5YZ1tnwR_10
Track 2 - Some Of Your Love/Keepin' The Summer Alive:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5rwBpgvEBgc
Track 3 - When Girls Get Together/Oh Darlin':
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JdWxJk2Pvq0
Track 4 - Santa Ana Winds/Sunshine:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vl4z_3RmvvY
Track 5 - Livin' With A Heartache:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gyQWGIocUz4
Some interesting points that I hadn't heard previously, like 'Some Of Your Love' originally being 'Mike Come Back To LA' and Bruce saying that he doesn't know if it's a good album or not any more... explains a lot I think
Has all the album tracks smattered throughout.

Yep nice item , I recall when I was A LOT younger sending a letter ( a letter , remember them? ) to Roger at Capital Radio in late 1980 ( Incidentally they were the main sponsor of the Knebworth Festival in 1980 ) and had in return a personal letter from Roger plus a copy of this Promo Album.

Cool find. You know, the more I hear Bruce in interviews, the less I like him.

I've read your book, both editions, many many times. I hope you've read mine!

As much as I would personally love to read your book there is no way I can afford it at current prices.

Brad Elliott's book indicates the promo LP (which I've had for years) contains "much" of Roger Scott's 1980 interviews...does anyone (AGD or otherwise) have the full, unedited interviews on tape? I'm wondering if that's where Brad got his info that on "School Days" Bruce played harpsichord and Caleb Quaye played guitar, 'cause that sure isn't mentioned on the promo LP. Anyone know?

As I'm listening to those interviews and especially the songs, I actually find myself enjoying it. I can't help it....

Andrew, bear with us. Not all of us have read your book or seen the Our Team promo. If I had your book, I'd read it. If I had access to the Our Team promo, I'd watch it. I'm sure we all would. but we don't all have, or haven't yet had, the opportunity for one reason or another. So, we comment on or ask questions about things some people already know. That's a good way to learn things. We don't mean to inconvenience anyone.

I was more surprised that no one would have read the many threads where Mike Come Back To LA has been discussed, and the various bootlegs where the audio was released.
