The "Keep It Clean with Al Jardine" shirt topic had me wondering:  what's with the lack of Beach Boys shirts?  You'd think with the millions of different Beatles shirts, there'd be some kind of comparable effort by Capitol/Brother/whoever, and yet no.  How else am I supposed to show everyone what my favorite group is?

The official merch site seems to be inoperative since the 50th anniversary tour started, but their shirts were truly terrifying "fun in the sun" false nostalgia, save for the awesome "Appeal to the Great Spirit" shirt with the fancy lettering, but sadly that has sold out.  Personally, I'd love to have the Love You cover on a yellow t-shirt, as it was for the Love You tour.

There's no reason we can't make our own shirts. In fact, I think we should.

I tried to make this shirt on Zazzle:

I was pretty excited to wear it despite the corny fonts, but alas, it was rejected due to copyright infringement. The big Z is a watermark and the gray scribble on the bottom right says "and Phil Spector".
