There are probably some historical inaccuracies and you might say that I left some important information out but basically the whole point of the video was just to give a brief overview of who Brian is and what makes him great.  Keep in mind that I'm presenting this to students who probably have no idea who he is.  I had to pick one song to present in its entirety so I chose "Surf's Up."  I hope you all enjoy. It makes a nice intro for the uninitiated.

Should've used Roller Skating Child and Ding Dang! LOL

This is a well done presentation. Thumbs Up

And production aside, I’d so much rather hear a 14 year old David Marks shred some guitar on Chug-a-lug than hear a 51 year old Mike Love sing about bangin some chick in a swimming pool.-rab2591

Nice job. I'm curious as to what the students might say that don't know too much about Brian.

Very nicely done. AM I right in assuming the Love And Mercy was from the 'I Just Wasn't Made For These Times' soundtrack? And also, where was the God Only Knows from?

Yes, nice work.  That is not the L&M from IJWMFTT.  I can't quite place this version.  Sounds like the All-Star Tribute to Brian Wilson, but I don't think that's it either. AS for GOK--Pet Sounds live, maybe?  Paging Rocky...

The version of Love And Mercy used is on the Hurricane Relief V/A album and also on the Walking Down The Path Of Life CD single.

Thanks for the feedback, guys.  And God Only Knows is a 2009 studio recording from the What Love Can Do digital single. Smiley

I thought to use a recent version of one of his most famous songs was an appropriate ending.  I only wanted to use songs Brian sang lead on so I didn't include the original.

Great job!  I liked that any viewer was given the basics, without editorializing; and that it has a nice flow, nice "BB-ish" font, and that you used a lot of very flattering black and white, consistent with the eras.  And, i  also liked that it covered the range, without getting too bogged down with minutiae.

It presents Brian and the Band in a favorable light, without revealing a fervent passion for the music.  Here's an A, from a teacher, and I am truly jealous.  I would have loved the opportunity to do such a project - for course credit!   Wink

Where do I sign up?  LOL

Good work! That's a great introduction to Brian Wilson for anyone who's not familiar with him.
