My attempt at a more accurate version of the 1971 Beach Boys. I'll admit that Al came out horribly. That may have to do with the fact that I finished him at 2:30 in the morning.

I love it!  Denny's hand!  And at least you got Al down to a realistic height.

I wonder if Al insisted on having his character appear to be 9 feet tall?  Some of the more bizarre features of that original sketch make me feel like we have a glimpse into character meetings might have taken place with the boys: Brian insisting that they can't make him the fat/food-obsessed one, and Al insisting that they can draw him however they want as long as he's not the "short one".

These look like they were taken from a book (the caption doesn't look like it was done with a computer, looks printed to my eyes) . Anyone know what book this could've been?

And production aside, I’d so much rather hear a 14 year old David Marks shred some guitar on Chug-a-lug than hear a 51 year old Mike Love sing about bangin some chick in a swimming pool.-rab2591

Oh my god I'm so glad that cartoon never happened. Al looks horrifying.

The image of the guys in the car reminds me of a similar one in the Byron Priess book. Also what is that yellow thing on the front?

Peter Bagge's Hate Annual #2 from 2002.  They accompany a pro-Mike, anti-Brianista essay.
