It must be 10 years since Brian's performed in Georgia.  He never plays in The South.  Hoping I'll finally get to see him this year.  Cool that he's sticking to the full Gershwin album for the dates.

I'm not sure he's doing BWRG in full on the July/August dates - the venues (casino, open air) would seem to argue against that. I'll find out.

I, I love the colorful clothes she wears, and she's already working on my brain. I only looked in her eyes, but I picked up something I just can't explain. I, I bet I know what she’s like, and I can feel how right she’d be for me. It’s weird how she comes in so strong, and I wonder what she’s picking up from me. I hope it’s good, good, good, good vibrations, yeah!!

He's going to be knackered by the time he gets to the RFH, isn't he? Damn...

Do you think there is any chance of him performing in Pennsylvania anytime soon? I missed the chance to see him at the Post Gazette Pavillion about ten years or so ago.

Wow, July is going to be an expensive month for me.  Smile Sessions Box on the 12th, Mike and Bruce and co. on the 21st, and Brian on either the 29th, 30th, or 31st.  That'll be a bit of a road trip for me, no matter which date I choose.  St. Charles is the closest, Grand Rapids is the farthest, and Clear Lake is...well...Iowa.  Decisions, decisions.

Are you referring to the St. Charles date?

He's played in Philadelphia on almost every tour. Montclair, NJ isn't that far; 90 minute drive at most. Considering people flew from all over the globe to see Brian's first solo "tour" in '99, a 90 minute drive doesn't seem that big of an undertaking.

How could he not?! According to AGD's site, the third Beach Boys gig ever was as part of a memorial tribute to Richie Valens (who perished in the same plane crash as Holly). Even if he forgot, he'll probably see the monument out front memorializing Holly, Valens, The Big Bopper and the two pilots. The ballroom itself still looks like it did in '59; it's quite a cozy place to see a show.

The last time he performed there was on the BWPS tour in '04.  I was there!

Hopefully I will get to go this year as well.

Brian's played the Surf Ballroom before.

Just got my tickets for Brian at the Mountain Winery in Saratoga August 24th!

 Banana

Beach Boys August 7!

It's the best schedule there I've EVER seen by a longshot. Moody Blues, Jethro Tull, Steely Dan,  Doobies, B-52's, Tears for Fears, Furs, ZZ Top - the list is amazing!
