I did not know this existed, just two months old:

Anyone read it? Any good? I'd think so, given its provenance.

Love it! It will make you go back and listen to the album with a fresh set of ears! I would love it if Mr Henderson would do the same for Discover America. Heck, all of VDP's albums.  Cool Guy

Well spoken. Yes, a nice monography on VDP is really what we need. Complete with all his session work, arrangements, film soundtracks, and so on. And a brief bio, of course.

It's good stuff!  3D

Did you know that the "My Country Tis Of Thee"/crashing waves montage at the end of side 1 is an homage to the sinking of the Titanic, as this song was the one the orchestra was playing as the ship sank? This and many other fun facts about Song Cycle in this book! Like the Dongle, or Dargle, or whatever it was called that was made to create all the strange vocal effects on SC

It's "Nearer My God To Thee" on my copy. Which wasn't what the band was playing anyway.  Smiley
