This is a semi-new blog page I'm involved with, which I thought might be of interest to readers here, all about Classic Studio Sessions and related topics and people. There will be some BW-BB related stuff coming soon, hopefully. The first post is still up, but updates will follow! Some updates may be more of a "look at these cool photos!" type of situation, while others will be as in-depth with words, facts, and photos as the first post. Anyone interested in the Wrecking Crew should find a few photos of some lesser known yet famous/infamous members to be of interest.

fantastic, i've been looking for stuff like this recently but haven't been able to find a really good book on this era in rock production.

Thank you for the nice comments, and for visiting the site! A great suggestion was made to take a look at engineer Bill Porter, of Nashville's RCA Studio B fame, and he will definitely be featured! Thanks for that suggestion. "Last Date" by Floyd Cramer...what a great record that is.

The focus of the topics is open for suggestion, so if anyone has a tip or suggestion for something to check out, please send it along! Some live material and recordings will also be featured, as well as television, so the subject matter is definitely open for ideas beyond the Wrecking Crew and the 60's.

For similar reading on studios and sessions from this era, a good reference is the book "Temples Of Sound", and also the recording magazines TapeOp and Mix, which often feature interviews and articles about classic sessions. I have links to those posted on the blog page, and TapeOp as far as I know is still free to subscribe.
