This is Gene Clark of The Byrds, one of the greatest and most influencial groups of all time, singing in a small club, just one month before he died. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ADNMulBJq6c

Okay, I'm not getting something....nothing sad about that to me...if he looked bad, the video was fuzzy enough to hide it. His voice didn't sound much different from his Byrds days, and he was able to sing pretty well. Sounded a little bit more Springsteen-ish than usual, but...really, what am I missing that's sad?Huh

Owhh.... I've seen pictures from around this time, maybe the same gig. I'm not sure I want to see this. Poor Gene. Want to READ something sad? Mr. Tambourine man. The life and legacy of the Byrds' Gene Clark, by John Einarson. From about halfway through, till the end. Not a happy story.
