Someone posted a link to a sample of "Will you Remember Me" which is the song that "The Like in I Love You" is based on. http://www.cduniverse.com/search/xx/music/pid/1097587/a/Nice+Work+If+You+Can+Get+It%3A+Songs+By+The+Gershwins.htm

From what I can hear, it is quite different from "The Like In I Love You." Is there an available version of "Nothing but Love" so we can hear the evolution from Gershwin fragment to Brian Wilson/Gershwin 'collaboration'? It's impressive how much of his personality Brian infused into these two songs. Apparently "Nothing But Love" comes from a fragment called "Say my Say" according to the USAToday article here (http://www.usatoday.com/life/music/news/2010-06-29-wilson29_st_N.htm)

In other news, rumor has it that the Disney album will feature two new songs based on unfinished fragments by Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck, written before their untimely death (a murder-suicide as we all know) - these fragments will become Wilson/Mouse/Duck collaborations. Only time will tell if this is true.

Titles auditioned include Wouldn't It be Mice, and Brian's Quack (about a controversial, sailor suit clad psychologist employed to coax Brian back to good health, the hook being a joke about the Doctor's extremely large bill ((Geddit!))

"Say My Say" isn't available elsewhere, as near as I can tell. There are a lot of short Gershwin snippets that haven't been recorded or released, and this seems to be one of them.

That being said, given the quality of TLIILY and Nothing But Love, I could have gone for a couple of more collaborations! Yes, they don't quite go with the album proper, but still ....

Having just heard TLIILY on youtube I must say that Brian hasn't sung this well since before I was born and I'm 31!!!! From the late '80s onward his vocals have always had the air of someone who is slightly braindamaged shouting. That may sound offensive to say in print but it is what has always sprung to mind when I've heard him on his solo stuff. I don't hear that here.  I guess that there is a world of difference between when Brian is just going through the motions (ie practically all of his solo career) and when he is truly inspired such as on this.

I'd rather be forced to sleep with Caitlyn Jenner then ever have to listen to NPP again.
