My apologies if this is a repost...

Is it The Beach Boys or is it Aqualung?  An exaggeration, but if you haven't heard this song yet, and if you are into this sort of thing (BB/BW-sounding music) you have to check this out.  Somewhere between Pet Sounds and Surf's Up (the song).  It is a good little song, at least to these ears, and he clearly wasn't going for originality.  Worth a listen.

Beach Boys / Jethro Tull references???

Yes!

Perhaps one of the great posts of all time on this board ... with all the excitement of BWPS in 2004, with bits and pieces of info leaking out such as suites and themes, and somebody, in a moment of genius posted ... "great, we've waited 37 years for Thick As A Brick!"

This is great! Thanks for the find. He has Brian's Smile-era falsetto vocals down amazingly well.

Here's the track for those who haven't heard it.
He has a cover of GOK on YouTube.

He was pretty popular on vh1 for a while a few years back. Good to see he's making great tunes.

It is very Surf's Up until the end, where he starts arpeggios on the piano.

You can spend days cataloging BB or even Surf's Up-era soundalikes.  Two that come to mind are XTC's "Pale and Precious" (under their alias the Dukes of Stratosfear), and "Atomik Lust" by the Welsh band Super Furry Animals on their album Love Kraft, which deliberately apes the arrangement of "Feel Flows".

Not bad at all.  They nailed it!  The lower parts of the lead have a McCartney sound.  Too bad they didn't put a little more thought into their group name (I've got a peeve about groups naming themselves after songs...like "Death Cab for Cutie", etc. )

I think i read that the last track, called Cabin Fever, was very inspired by Denny's ballads as well. And 'Walk You Home' sounds very Brian, for some reason.

All roads lead to Kokomo. Exhaustive research in time travel has conclusively proven that there is no alternate universe WITHOUT Kokomo. It would've happened regardless.
What is this "life" thing you speak of ?
