I was happily surprised when I heard this some minutes ago.
From 1976's "Planes", currently out of print.

I wonder how many Beach Boys-cover there are, that are not the well known ones and not live. I don't know how to explain what I mean.
So, going into that directon, I came across this german versin of Sloop John B.

PRO SHOT BEACH BOYS CONCERTS - LIST

To sum it up, they blew it, they blew it consistently, they continue to blow it, it is tragic and this pathological problem caused The Beach Boys' greatest music to be so underrated by the general public.

The Tokens, whom I'm a big fan of, did some great Beach Boys covers back in the day, including Little Deuce Coupe and Shut Down.
