From another board....

"Bruce Johnston posted a couple of days ago that the concert in Tunica, Mississippi, will be broadcast live.  They are playing at the Gold Strike Casino and go on stage at 11 PM Central Standard Time(USA), for about 75 minutes. :

You can listen to it on the computer, after signing up for a free three day trial. No credit card needed. I signed up. Do it and listen to them live tonigt.

My New Years Eve was so boring that I actually listened to the entire Mike and Bruce concert on Sirius tonight.

A few comments. Bruce's voice is pretty much shot. Mike sounded  good on several songs, ok on the rest. The harmonies really were poor. I would never pay money to see this configuration. As a cover band they weren't bad, but not great.

Mike mentioned Brian twice, both times positively. He also mentioned that Stamos was playing the drums. According to my count they did 31 songs in about 90 minutes. No surprises, except maybe Auld Lang Syne, Little Saint Nick and Summertime Blues.

Happy New Year

Totally missed this one. Checking the Sirius website, it is mentioned that it will be broadcasted "today" at 12am ET. Does that mean it's going to be repeated?

Rule of thumb, think BEFORE you post. And THINK how it may affect someone else's feelings.

Check out the Beach Boys Starline website, the place for pictures of many countries Beach Boys releases on 45.

Listening to you I get the music; Gazing at you I get the heat; Following you I climb the mountain; I get excitement at your feet
Right behind you I see the millions; On you I see the glory; From you I get opinions; From you I get the story

There were also dedications to Dennis, after Dance, Dance, Dance and Carl, after God Only Knows. There was very little conversation between songs. Hardly a mention before the car song set. The only somewhat extended chatter was before Be True To Your School, which was pretty much the same old stuff.

That's odd. 12 AM ET, today, is technically when it was originally broadcast. Unless they mean the next 12 AM ET, eight hours from now, but that would technically be tomorrow.

PRO SHOT BEACH BOYS CONCERTS - LIST

To sum it up, they blew it, they blew it consistently, they continue to blow it, it is tragic and this pathological problem caused The Beach Boys' greatest music to be so underrated by the general public.
