Are you referring to the Poplar Creek show we list-with America?

Yes September 4 1993 at 8 PM with America. It was an amazing thing I was in the third row and 17 at the time. Anyhow when Carl sang I Can Hear Music (the second song I think) I really went crazy because I thought it would just be an oldies show). Now I couldn't see Bruce at all where I was sitting on the side of the stage. Barely could see Al. I was right next to Mike and he kind of played to me during the show. I saw he was impressed that a young kid would know all that stuff. I caught Carl's eye once too when I responded strong to the rare stuff. Again both seemed impressed that I would know those songs. The crowd responded well to the show because it was balanced so well. Let's see my dad hi fived Bruce as he went on stage, and Mike signed my ticket "Dr Love" which I thought was very funny. It's very hard to read because he had nothing to write on but you can make out the DR. I remember Add Some Music, the Smile version of Wonderful,  Vegetables with Mama Says. Amazing show. Mike left the stage during Surfer Girl to dance with his soon to be wife Jackie. So yes 100 percent sure they did the great late 1993 setlist.

I am very sure (not guaranteed, if not it was 94) I saw the Beach Boys in Wallingford, CT  at the Oakdale in November of 93.  Not sure of the exact date, but makes sense as they were in the area.

Found an addition for you. I read in a 1981 Add Some Music  that the Cheerleading Competition was broadcast 5-25-81.  3 days after my fifth birthday incidentally Grin.

Maybe it was syndicated? Either that or they were a month off.

Reading the winter 1984 ASM. It seems as I suggested before that the Beach Boys did shows in late February 1984 at Harrah's in Tahoe. Brian according to Rolling Stone wasn't at one of the late shows but he did play at least one show.
Also songs City Blues is mentioned in some 1981 issues, or you sure the cocaine sessions weren't late 1981?

No problem as the first shows post Dennis' death I tried my best to get info on them. As 1984 really marked the era Brian stopped touring with them semi regularly, I thought it was interesting he was there. I wonder if there was some sort of argument with Landy which caused him to more or less yank him out of the touring band.

I wasn't sure about some shows in that period-because at the January 84 press conference (partly seen in various BB documentaries) they canceled their upcoming shows

i have an old issue variety (Huh), i think that is what it is, from right after dennis' death. it talks about how the group was going to tour but take time off. i don't think they took much time off. it listed upcoming tour dates in that article. ian, i am not sure if those dates are listed in all the ones i have sent you or if they actually took place. but i will dig out that issue and pass along the dates listed in that article just in case there is something listed and actually happened and not in the ones i sent to you earlier.

sorry for typos or unclear thoughts. i just got home from hand surgery this morning and i hurt and woozy from the pain meds.
