Wow, Steve Jones is the worst broadcaster I've ever heard in my life.

Yep, he sounds incredibly bored.. pretty painful to listen to.. From memory though, he wasn't as bad as this when Brian was last on his show.

Poor Brian, he actually sounds rather "up" for a conversation, but Jonesy hasn't brought any enthusiasm to the proceedings has he?  The plug was pulled on Indie 103.1 today, I'm sure Jonesy knew the station was on it's last legs and it sounds to me like he just checked out towards the end there.  Don't let this interview fool you when he was "on" this was a great radio show, believe it or not.

I was thinking the same thing...was shocked that Jonesy would be apathetic at a BW interview (the first one was amazing), but then when I flicked on the radio today and heard they were going off the air, I went  "ah!  That must be it!"

What a bummer...though if the indie1031.com website returns to its original roots, should be a premiere webcast.

Biding time

I thought Jonesy was deliberately being vague, creating silence, which he might've hope Brian would fill. Thought Jonesy was very laid back. Coaxing in an underhand sort of way. Turns out he was just contemplating redundancy. Great shame.

I agree, it seemed that Brian was in a good mood and ready for a conversation.  And I thought that Jones was just getting Brian comfortable with 'hanging out', but then it never went anywhere and got horribly awkward.

Damn, there was a lot of dead air in that conversation, can't blame Brian though.

Now if Jones was Jessica Alba, this would of been a great interview.  Smiley

That was very uncomfortable. Did Jones think he was being cool by being so laid back around a legend? Embarrassing. Never thought I'd hear an interview that Brian wanted to do more than the interviewer....

Frankly, too much analysis here.  I thought Brian sounded fine.  Maybe it was too laid back but so what.

I thought Brian sounded fine.

I think most people were saying that it was mainly due to Jonesy, and not Brian.
