Anyone heard about this? Just read it In an AP release. Festival with 60 international acts to begin on May 22nd. tickets were to go on sale today. I wonder, just maybe, if it is the reunion band or some configuration of said band.

And production aside, I’d so much rather hear a 14 year old David Marks shred some guitar on Chug-a-lug than hear a 51 year old Mike Love sing about bangin some chick in a swimming pool.-rab2591

cool! what songs would you all want to hear them play? I always thought Tell Me Why would be really great if the Beach Boys did it but really Choose one song for each of the members to do lead on.

Is the expectation that the M&B band will be playing only Beatles songs? Is that part of the parameters of playing this festival?

Will Mike tell the story of suggesting Back in the USSR lyrics?will they try to perform it? will there be new, untold stories of the events in India so many years ago? Will there be stories of the Maharishi tour?

Let's hope not. No, but there will be a special appearance - on videotape - by Brian Wilson telling the audience that "God Only Knows" is Paul McCartney's favorite song.

I hear that the Mike will do an adapted version of his legendary Hall Of Fame speech, now including the Beatles among the culprits.
Remember where you heard it first.
Thank you.

This is actually a Mike Love tribute because of the time he introduced John and Paul back in Liverpool.

Good that someone brings this important fact to our attention. Mike did not only invent the internet, the electric light bulb, and the polka, he also gave birth to the Fab Four. Give the man his credit, folks.

Well, if Mike does decide to do a Beatles song or something related, let's just hope he doesn't do this. Not just in Louisville but ever again. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EfmH2wHTQZ8
