I think it's amazing and cool how so many people recognize the bluesy (and at times, self-destructive) side of David Marks. He was really young, and he played on the Beach Boys most teenage rock 'n' roll songs. But I think it's starting to become more clear that this is a guy that struggled through some dark years, and revealed a seediness as well as survivor in his music.

The "what if's" are cool... the acknowledgement of David is even better.

David Marks turned out, by far, to be the most accomplished instrumentalist to emerge from the band.

We sent Dave the note-for-note guitar leads for one of the short Gothic Batman pieces that will be on the forthcoming Jan Berry tribute . . . and he returned the completed parts to us the very next day.

A big honor for us . . . and for Jan Berry's legacy.

That is profoundly cool- a big honor, as you said.
