I see your point, but it already bugs me that the Boys have so many "guests" singing leads. [...] but I even wish Carl had sung Sail On Sailor on the record.
I don't consider Blondie a guest. He's a full-fledged member. Anyone who writes songs for the band and appears in the promotional pictures is not a guest.

I love the Beach Boys' special blend, vocally, which seems like only a family could have. But their work with other musicians, backing or vocally, is always good by me. I wouldn't change Blondie's lead on "Sail On, Sailor" for the world.

Somebody said it best in Domenic Priore's second Smile book, that "SOS" is almost like a bonus track of Smile... a reclaiming of that integrity, and a goodbye message from a weathered sailor.... with his old co-writer.

I wasn't suggesting Blondie was a guest.

Of course, my fantasy 15 B (RnR) O would need a better cover!

My fantasy Surf's Up would include the first version of Mike's Big Sur (though I'd keep the released version on Holland); WIBNTLA, Barbara and Fourth of July. I wouldn't remove anything, except maybe SDT - but only maybe.

Fantasy CATP includes Out in the Country, Ten Years Harmony, It's a New Day, How Sweet and All Life is One.

Fantasy Holland adds TM (the Charles Lloyd one), We Got Love, Carry Me Home, Hard Times and Sweet Mountain.  Tempted to add Rishikesh.
