I don't know if you're interested in this but it at least has a nice picture:

a diseased bunch of mo'fos if there ever was one… their beauty is so awesome that listening to them at their best is like being in some vast dream cathedral decorated with a thousand gleaming American pop culture icons.

PRO SHOT BEACH BOYS CONCERTS - LIST

To sum it up, they blew it, they blew it consistently, they continue to blow it, it is tragic and this pathological problem caused The Beach Boys' greatest music to be so underrated by the general public.

Johnny Carson and Student Demonstration Time?? Outstanding.  Afro

Imagine hearing those in the setlist. I'd dig it.

They're certainly not selling many of the songs:

""Friends" - A waltz type of song where a sneeze can be heard 2:01 in." Cheesy

Also you don't see "Wipeout" on many Top BB songs lists.

what a terrible list... I hope they never do SDT live or that it is ever releaed again on anything, even reissues of Surf's Up, just replace it with a Dennis song.

Not a single song from Sunflower or Side Two of Today? Undecided  At least they actually bothered to make a list of 50 rather than some generic top 10, but that's a list that could be vastly improve I think.  I certainly hope that's not the order either, because Surf's Up at 40 would be shameful.

I think they just randomly picked the hits and had a scan of Wikipedia since all the descriptions for the songs are either entirely obvious, have little to do with the actual song or is just a piece of un-noteworthy trivia straight from the Wikipedia page (see: the "Friends" cough) Roll Eyes

How is Hang on to Your Ego a hit? I love the song, but it doesn't make sense. Also I think Come Go With Me is a bit high, if it should be top 50 at all.

"Come Go With Me" at least was a moderate success (or 'hit'), in contrast to numerous other songs on this thoughtless and lazy list.

That's exactly what my first impression was.
