Wow! Brilliant backing track! However, I don't think it's Brian; definitely Phil in my opinion.

Edit: I listened to it again and noticed the guy counting off at the beginning sounds a heck of a lot like Phi.

Hey, Thanks Rick!  Just spent some time and subscribed to Anthony's channel.  He's got some really Great (and Rare) stuff to share.  I focused on his David Gates sides - neat!  Also played one of the Righteous Bros. backing tracks.  Had to go back and check, yeah the one you found...  Check out Suzy Wallis.  And give "The Girl I Lost In The Rain" - C. J. Russell (Leon), written, arranged and produced by Gates a spin.  Released July 1963.

The "I Love My Chico" track doesn't sound so much like Brian, as just Gold Star magic.  I hope some of the experts will tell us more on who did the session.  I don't know who Bonnie and the Treasures were.  I'll have to look to find something with a vocal.

This track has been on my ipod since before Christmas. It's definitely too busy for BW but I love the chorus (are those vibes/xylophone?) and break down. And Hal's drumming-phew!!

I checked Bonnie out, but not too many clips to play.  She's good though.  There is no shortage of "new" tracks to discover from the 1960's, everybody seemed to be inspired.  This backing track is good even without vocals.

Yeah, of all the guys from Spector's inner circle who emulated the wall of sound (Sonny Bono, Nino Tempo, Jack Nitszche, Brian, Marshall Lieb, Bill Medley, Anders & Poncia etc.) I think Riopelle came closest with some of his stuff. For those who haven't heard it, check out 'Home of the Brave' with the same Bonnie (Charlotte O'Hara) on lead vocals. This was released on Philles and has often been mistaken as a Spector production. But it's Riopelle working his magic in Gold Star.

Anthony's youtube channel is epic!   In an ideal world, he'd sit down and write a book on the whole 60s LA / Gold Star scene and all the obscure gems that is to be found from that era when you scratch the surface...

To be honest, some of these lost songs are better off lost because apart from the obvious "Wall Of Sound" appeal of the backing tracks and who was involved in the productions, the singers-lyrics-performances were sub-par if not amateur and many of the songs were just not very good. Which is probably why they've remained "lost" for 50 years. 

Not that some aren't enjoyable, but remove the Wall Of Sound association and the songs themselves often don't hold up.
