I have
UPGRADED my stereo BWPS 2004 SMiLE mix!
You can download it on my blog, here:
http://albumsthatneverwere.blogspot.com/2013/09/the-beach-boys-smile-2004.htmlIf you don't know, this is a completely stereo mix of SMiLE arranged almost exactly as BWPS, but using ONLY original 1966/1967 material, 90% sourced from TSS. No fly-ins from BWPS, no digital extractions from later recordings, etc.
Notable upgrades include:
- The new stereo mix of Our Prayer from MiC
- a COMPLETELY NEW stereo mic of Old Master Painter, much better than my previous one, imo
- a COMPLETELY NEW stereo remix of Cabin Essence from a synch of the stereo backing tracks, the stereo backing vocals, and the isolated lead vocals. It's a much cleaner and expansive mix than the album version we know from either TSS or 20/20
- a new re-edit of Vege-Tables that follows the BWPS version more closely (I just left it as the TSS version last time).
- a COMPLETELY NEW true stereo mix of Wonderful, replacing my crappy "duophonic" mix from my last version (wtf was I thinking!?)
- some other random stuff
Enjoy!
Or don't.
Either way have a smiley:
