Anybody else think this is one of the best post-Beach Boys songs Brian has written?  I know there's another version on That Lucky Old Sun which I personally don't think is as good but this one, wow, this is a fantastic song.  It's got Brian singing every part very impressively, probably one of his most enthusiastic vocals with great Van Dyke Parks lyrics.  It's too bad it's one of those songs that just kind of got lost as an obscure soundtrack cut because I just think it's brilliant.

The vocals in this version are almost unlistenable to me. I also like the TLOS lyrics much better.

Agreed 100% about the vocals. They should have taken a lot more care with them.

The TLOS version is absolutely one of the best things Brian's done in the last 40 years are so. dat intro. Van Dyke's words are beautiful and spot on, too.

The Arctic Tale version is nice, but to me, the execution is nowhere near as good as the TLOS version.

I love the Arctic Tale version, it is so much more upbeat and the arrangement is great too. You don't listen to a Brian Wilson song for the lead vocals.
