Not sure if this deserves its own thread but thought it might be interesting to some.  

He's clearly manipulated the vocals to fit which is a bit jarring to me.

But overall I like it.

Question for the kids/production wizzes: Shouldn't samples just be used in their pure state, or is this kind of time stretching thing part of the aesthetic now in the same way that autotune is used above and beyond its original function? Because when I hear those vocals I'm thinking "I know the original - I can see the strings, buddy!" but maybe that's the point?

I think time stretching and other manner of manipulation is very much par for the course in sampled music.
