Maybe some one can clear this up either Craig or Andrew. On the released version of Good Vibrations i know that there's a Fender Bass Guitar on the Verses and a Fuzz Bass Guitar on at the end but, does the song contain any other guitar? I just wanted to know because it's been bugging me. I don't have the Smile Sessions Box Set either, so I can't look up who played what. Thanks  Smiley

Pretty sure there's some pretty prominent 12-string rhythm strumming in there.

I think the final, released edit only has strongly audible guitar on the first (tack piano) bridge (played by Al Casey and Jerry Cole), although the first & second choruses, as well as the chorus fade, come from sessions at which Carl played rhythm guitar (it's kinda buried at that point in the song, but it's there).  Al Casey and Billy Strange both played guitar on the first session (Billy on 12-string) from which the verses were culled, but they were tacet on that part of the song.

Hope this helps!
