51 years ago today, the Beach Boys played their first show ever.
So, Happy 51st Birthday!

And also, the Beatles broke up.

Here you are, Friend:

"McCartney filed suit for the dissolution of the Beatles' contractual partnership on 31 December 1970."

Hey, thanks for the sarcasm! I always appreciate the nice ones around here. I'm aware the Beatles didn't break up in 1961, but it was on New Years Eve. Sorry for my horribly low intelligence level, bad choice of words, and my lack of BB and Beatles knowledge. I'll try to get better for you.

Did they play it as the BB's? I always thought the Ritchie Valens show was the first show they played with the BB name.

I believe the Beatles broke up in Nov of 1966 when there was a fatal accident.

I'll bet you any sum you care to mention - let's start at, oohhh, say... $1,000,000 - that the statement you just made is wrong by about a week, and by two shows.  Old Man

And I'd win.  Grin  Gigs & Sessions 1961-62

Looking forward to the new year. The Live album should be great. It'll be interesting to see what Brian has planned.
